2.1 Registering an XRI

Registering an XRI is easy: You select one of our root authorities (e.g. @free) and choose a name (e.g. "earth"), which will be registered under the root authority. Therefore, your new XRI will be @free*earth.

You can optionally choose to register a new XRI as an synonym of one of your existing XRIs. Please see our documentation page on synonyms for more details about this.

Once registration of your XRI is complete, it will be visible in the "Your XRIs" list, where you can configure it in various ways.

In addition, once you have one or more XRIs, they will appear in the drop down box on the "Register a new XRI" page. This means that you can register new XRIs under your existing ones. For example, you can register @free*earth*moon.
