xriPhone

Introduction

xriPhone is a native application for the Apple iPhone.

It allows you to enter an i-name and perform the following functions with a single tap:

  • Retrieve the i-name's XRD.
  • Retrieve the i-name's XRDS.
  • Launch Safari to access the i-name's default service.

Configuration settings include the proxy resolver to use, as well as service type and service media type for service endpoint selection.

xriPhone can be installed using the popular Installer application on the iPhone. If you do not yet have Installer, try one of the following links for more information:

In order for xriPhone to appear in the package list of your Installer, the "Community Sources" package has to be installed.

The xriPhone package should then be listed in the "Network" section of Installer. Simply tap on it and then tap "Install". xriPhone will appear as an icon on your iPhone desktop (SpringBoard/SummerBoard).
